Ancient Greek storyteller. Author of the Iliad and Odyssey. He was one of the most successful authors retelling famous myths, legends and stories about heroes in his own authentic way. They performed their compositions in a chant to music at feasts and holidays. Tradition depicts Homer as a blind gray-haired old man, singing his poems to the sound of a lyre.
